WEEK 13
Congrats! You are in your second trimester
What is happening to your baby:
- Weighs about 28grams
- Fingerprints start appearing
What is happening to you:
- You will feel less fatigue
Week 14
What is happening to your baby:
- Your baby starts inhaling and exhaling
What is happening to you:
- Your energy levels will increase.
- You may become constipated.
- Your sex drive may increase
By the end of this week you should have got at least an ultrasound scan done
What is happening to your baby:
- Baby measures 12.5cm.
- Lanugo (fine, downy body hair) covers the body.
What is happening to you:
- Your breasts are becoming increasingly larger and heavier.
- Chloasma (skin pigmentation) might increase. This is transient as it will disappear after pregnancy
Week 16
What is happening to your baby:
- The baby measures 16cm.
- Limb movements become more coordinated
What is happening to you:
- You may start feeling your baby’s movement( QUICKENING)
